Mark Your Calendars for the 2009 Coconut Creek Butterfly Festival!

The City of Coconut Creek invites you to join us for a full day of fun and activities, like Butterfly Kite Flying, children's rides and games, live music, a Business Expo (Click here to download an Expo registration form), fantastic laser show and food and beverages as we celebrate the City's birthday at the 7th Annual Butterfly Festival, Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Sabal Pines Park, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This year's featured entertainment is "ALMOST ABBA". Formed in 1997, this six-piece fully costumed and choreograghed show was the first Canadian tribute to Abba. Since then, members of the group have toured internationally throughout eleven countries, in casinos, stadiums, resorts, clubs and on cruise ships. They have opened up for numerous international recording acts and have been featured on television programs across Canada and Europe. Other Butterfly Festival entertainment includes local bands, the City of Coconut Creek K-9 demonstrations and the recent winners of the Creek Star Talent Search. The day's festivities will be capped off by a very special Laser Show from Laser Net Productions. And, best of all, admission is free.

Free shuttle service will be available from Monarch High School at 5050 Wiles Road. The shuttle will run from 1:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
